Don’t let your new invention go unprotected!  The Kilgore College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the North Texas Small Business Development Center’s Technology Assistance Center will be offering a new seminar entitled, “Launching and Protecting Your New Invention.”   This seminar will be held Wednesday, October 5 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the SBDC Boardroom, located at 911 NW Loop 281, Ste. 209 in Longview (Austin Bank Building).

Learn how to guard your product against competitors by utilizing innovation protection strategies. Topics to be explored include the following:

• Patent protection
• Selecting and registering a trademark
• Maintaining trade secrets
• Procuring copyright protection.
• Initial prototype production
• How to best validate the demand for your new product
